Frequently asked questions

How much is OAS for October to December 2026?
Up to $762.50 a month if you are 65 to 74, and up to $838.75 if you are 75 or older. That is the full pension for someone with 40 years in Canada after age 18. Less residence means a partial pension.
When is the OAS payment in October 2026?
October 28, 2026. The next two are November 26, 2026 and December 22, 2026. OAS and CPP are paid on the same day.
How much is the GIS for a single senior?
Up to $1,138.90 a month on top of OAS, for a single, widowed or divorced senior with income under $23,112. The amount falls as your income, not counting OAS, rises.
Why did OAS go up in October?
OAS is adjusted every three months for inflation. The 65 to 74 maximum went from $751.97 in July to September to $762.50, a rise of 1.4%.
At what income do I lose OAS?
The 15% recovery tax takes back OAS as income rises, and the full pension is gone at an income of about $152,062 for ages 65 to 74 and $157,923 for 75 and over. The OAS clawback calculator shows what you keep at your income.
