Benefit payment dates 2027: not published yet
The Government of Canada has not yet published the 2027 payment dates for CPP, OAS, the Canada Child Benefit or the GST/HST credit (now the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit). In each of the last two years it posted the next year's dates in late October or early November. This page adds them the day they appear. Until then, below are every 2026 date and how each benefit is usually timed.

These are the 2026 dates, for reference. They are not the 2027 dates, which can move by a day or two because of weekends and holidays.

The usual timing describes past years. It is not a promise of a 2027 date; only the Government of Canada calendar sets those.
The GST/HST credit has a new name
Since July 2026 the GST/HST credit is paid as the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit. It is the same quarterly payment, with the provincial and territorial credits that were paid alongside it, and you do not need to apply again. It is still based on your tax return, so filing your 2026 return by April 30, 2027 keeps it coming from July 2027.

Frequently asked questions
- When is the first CPP and OAS payment in 2027?
- Not published yet. In 2026 the January payment was January 28, 2026, and CPP and OAS are always paid on the same day, in the last week of the month.
- When is the GST/HST credit paid in 2027?
- The government has not published the 2027 dates. The credit, renamed the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit in July 2026, is paid four times a year in the first week of January, April, July and October. In 2026 it was paid on Jan 5, Apr 2, Jul 3, Oct 5.
- When is the Canada Child Benefit paid in January 2027?
- Not published yet. The CCB is usually paid around the 20th of the month; in January 2026 it was January 20, 2026.
- When will the 2027 payment dates be published?
- The 2025 dates appeared on the calendar between October 21 and November 7, 2024. The 2026 dates were on it by November 3, 2025. This page adds the 2027 dates the day they appear on the Government of Canada calendar.
- Why is the December payment early?
- CPP, OAS and the Canada Child Benefit are paid before the Christmas holidays in December, so the December date is about a week or more earlier than the usual pattern.
- What if my payment does not arrive?
- Wait five working days before contacting the CRA or Service Canada, since bank processing can delay a deposit. Check that your direct deposit details and address are current in My Account or My Service Canada Account.
